You can get all kinds of wonderful effects with decorative painting when you do it right. A very short story: the very first time I did this type of painting was years ago, on a job in California. Someone else had been hired to do this particular technique, but he cancelled at the last minute. This was the only day that worked for the client. The materials had been delivered. I’d studied the technique informally and I said, "I believe I can do this." The room turned out great.
